Worcester College & Cogges Manor Farm wedding
The day started as a beautiful English summers day with Rachel getting ready at a nearby cottage with her close family and bridesmaids. I arrived while bridal prep was in full swing. Rachel was then whisked off in style with her father in a vintage drop-top Rolls Royce to meet her groom, Lewis, who was waiting at Worcester College.
The chapel is exclusive to those who are studying or have studied at the college – which coincidentally is exactly where Rachel and Lewis both studied and met. So it makes for a truly special wedding. If you’ve never been to Worcester college – it is quite simply amazing. The Chapel itself has you in awe as you walk in with its beautifully ornate and decorated walls and ceilings which adds a beautiful golden glow to the light and the sound from the choir and the organ resonates around the chapel.
After the ceremony, guests gathered by the lawn just outside of the chapel with champagne and chattered to the newlywed couple.
As the couple spent a few years at Worcester college they had a few favorite areas in the stunning grounds. We spent some time having a little wonder down to the bridge and around the gardens. After, Rachel & Lewis headed in the Rolls Royce to Cogges Manor Farm, just outside of Oxford for their reception.
Coggs wedding barn is a beautifully unique Cotswold barn wedding venue and Farm. Rachel & Lewis were greeted by some of the local resident goats who were desperate for a photo with the new Bride & Groom – and as they were starting to steal the limelight everyone headed in for the wedding breakfast and speeches.
After the wedding breakfast and cake cutting, the guests toasted marshmallows on the firepit outside. As the evening drew in Rachel and Lewis kicked the evening off with their first dance and then joined by their guests who all partied late into the evening!
