Worcester College & Cogges Manor Farm wedding

I always find starting a blog post a bit tricky as I’m not sure how you got here. Did you google Cogges Manor farm Wedding Photographer, or were looking for Worcester college chapel wedding photography. Either way, I should introduce myself. I’m Joe and I’m a wedding photographer based on the Berkshire, Hampshire border. I shoot weddings all over the UK and this time it has brought me to Coggs Manor Farm in the Cotswolds for Rachel and Lewis’s wedding.

It was mid-summer with a clear blue sky. Rachel was getting ready at the little Air Bnb cottage just outside Oxford with her close family and bridesmaids. I arrived while bridal prep was in full swing to capture all the final preparations. Once ready Rachel zoomed off in style with her father in a vintage drop-top Rolls Royce to meet her groom, Lewis, who was waiting at Worcester College Chapel.

Worcester College Chapel University of Oxford wedding

Worcester College Chapel is exclusive to those who are studying or have studied at Worcester College, which is part of Oxford University. Coincidentally, this is exactly where Rachel and Lewis met so it makes for a truly special wedding, and the obvious location to tie the knot. If you’ve never been to Worcester college chapel it is quite simply amazing. It has you in awe as you walk in with its beautifully ornate ceilings and decorated walls. The beautiful golden glow adds a warmth to the light and the sound from the choir and the organ resonated around the chapel.

After the ceremony, guests gathered by the lawn, just outside with champagne and canapes. They all chattered and congratulated the newlywed couple before we strolled the grounds for photos. As the couple spent a few years at Worcester college they had a few favorite locations in the stunning grounds they wanted to revisit for photos. Rachel & Lewis then jumped in the Rolls Royce and headed to Cogges Manor Farm for their reception.

Just outside of Oxford, Cogges wedding barn is a beautifully unique Cotswold barn wedding venue. Rachel & Lewis were greeted by some of the local resident goats who were desperate for a photo with the new Bride & Groom. As they were starting to steal the limelight everyone headed in for the wedding breakfast and speeches.

After the wedding breakfast and cake cutting, the guests toasted marshmallows on the firepit outside. As the evening drew in Rachel and Lewis kicked the evening off with their first dance and then joined by their guests who all partied late into the evening!

The whole day was magical, and I’m so grateful to have been able to capture it for Rachel & Lewis 🙂

Thank you for your interest in my work and I hope you like the pictures.
