Engagement shoot at Virginia Waters in Surrey
There is something very romantic about the winter sun on a frosty day. Just dappling through the trees as you and your loved one are wrapped up warm cuddling as you walk hand in hand. The frosty leaves and grass on the ground crunching underfoot as you take your stroll. Paula and Steve choose the beautiful Virginia Waters in Surrey as the backdrop for their pre-wedding Engagement shoot.
Part of Windsor great park, it is a pleasant 4.5-mile walk around the lake with lots to see. Including a man-made cascade waterfall, a 100-foot totem poll which was a gift from Canada and not forgetting the Roman ruins. The source of many of the stones that were used to create The Ruins at Virginia Water is Leptis Magna, a Roman City site on the shores of the Mediterranean near Tripoli, in present day Libya.
Even in winter the park is beautiful and creates a relaxed setting, making it perfect for a casual engagement shoot which was so much fun with this couple. We finihed up just as the sun was setting leaving gorgeous colour across the winter sky. Looking forward to shooting this pairs wedding this Feruary at Wasing Park Barn in Berkshire.
