Magical wildflower wedding
at Rivervale barn
We’ve been on a journey to get here, I originally met Aaron & Megan in 2019 when they booked me after attending a friends wedding who had recommended me (Thank you Hannah & James). We had a postponement shoot to mark what was their original wedding date but today was the real deal. It was the most glorious F**king day you can imagine with full restrictions lifted and weddings going full throttle the whole wedding industry could barely keep up. Meg & Aaron were like if we’ve waited a whole extra year for this we’re doing it big – and boy did they.
Wedding Photography at Rivervale Barn
I’ve shot many weddings at Rivervale barn over the years. Spring weddings, Summer weddings, Autumn weddings and Winter weddings. Today’s wedding was at Rivervale barn, but it felt like it was more out of a fairy tale woodland. Megan & Aaron really nailed it with their wildflower woodland theme. The aisle of the Spinney (the big tall wooden thing) was dressed with an endless line of pink and white meadow flowers mixed with grasses and copper lanterns with tall candles. Tall crates stacked by the Spinney with matching meadow flowers and grasses pouring out of the sides and reaching tall up the sides of the structure, making it look like it had just sprouted up in the middle of the woods. Apparently, this natural look is one of the hardest to achieve so hats off to the team from Lily’s Flowers who nailed Megan & Aarons vision.

Wedding photographers can often get a bit overwhelmed when there is so much detail to try and capture – I know I have been in the past. I’m always more about the people and the vibe but what I realised is the setting and the couple’s vision creates the vibe and then the photos follow. I could waffle on a bit more about Rivervale barn but I’m sure you’re here for the photos so lets go!
