Hi Gang, I’m Joe. I am a wedding photographer based on the Berkshire and Hampshire border. My work takes me to venues all over Hampshire and Berkshire. But today we are here to talk about Silchester Farm . This stunning wedding venue is a stone through from my home and I could almost walk there. But we’re not here to talk about me we are going to talk about the awesome couple who had their wedding at Silchester farm
Wedding Photography at Silchester farm Hampshire
Hollie and Mathew tied the knot on 25th June 2022 in Hampshire. Their gorgeous Silchester farm wedding took place on a glorious sunny day, following a beautiful ceremony in the old hen house barn. The couple planned a classy and stylish wedding with boho vibes full of neutral tones and pampas grasses. The drinks reception was back with an acoustic guitar player while the guests had cocktails on the lawn in the sun.
I’ve shot a few weddings at Silchester barn now and it’s a venue that just keeps on giving. There is something different for all of the Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter weddings. Today’s wedding at Silchester farm was a glorious summer’s day, albeit with a spot of rain, but, it’s England so that’s to be expected! Other than that it could be better. For couples’ wedding photography I like to keep things moving so we take a little walk around the venue, from the ponds through the lawns and to the hay barn giving them some time together as well to catch up and chat about the day and take it all in. After the meal and the evening kicked off we then stole 10 minutes to sneak out to the meadow for sunset which didn’t disappoint. The winding pathway cut through the field is perfect for couples to take an evening stroll.

I’m not sure how many wedding venues I’ve shot at this point in my career but it’s a lot. And few of them, have managed to do what Silchester farm have. They have thought of pretty much everything with 3 different styles of barns, indoor and outdoor spaces with great locations for your wedding day photos no matter the weather and all with style. I have more weddings here next season and I can’t wait to go back again!
