Will & Sarah’s Back Garden Tipi Wedding in Surrey

Clear blue skies welcomed Sarah & Will’s back garden tipi wedding in Tilford, Surrey. The location was Sarah’s parents’ back garden and the venue was a 3 tent-tipi by beautiful world tents and decorated with flowers by Lavender Hill. The mood was excitement and anticipation for what was going to be an incredible day full of love and emotion, bbq food and live music!

Getting wedding ready!

I spent the morning with Sarah and her bridesmaids where I was greeted with smiles and laughter while they sipped on bubbles during bridal prep with hair & makeup by Suzanne Dusek. It was all hands on deck then to help Sarah get ready into her Stella York Design dress from Tilly Mint and down the aisle to Will. Dan my second shooter spent the morning with Will and the boys. They had a bbq breakfast and beers at Wills parents before heading to the church.

The wedding

A beautiful service along with music provided by Melissa and Reece music and a memorable moment provided by Wills best man. Egar to deliver the rings safely he played musical chairs, standing up and sitting about 3 times before the Priest finally invited him forward to present the rings. Upon exiting the church the newlyweds then ran the longest confetti gauntlet I’ve seen at a wedding. Sarah, Will and I then headed off to Frensham ponds for couples photos while the guests made their way back to Sarah’s parents.

Party Time!

I knew the reception was going to be fantastic and it didn’t disappoint. Good weather, great food by Nyama catering and plenty of the wet stuff accompanied some fantastic speeches. This set the guests up for a great night of partying ahead. The first dance kicked off the evening music with The nameless three Band filling the dance floor. Then towards the end of the first set, The bride herself got up on stage with the band and belted out a hell of a version of uptown funk to raucous cheers and applause from everyone. What a day!
